Minimum Age Group : 18+ Must be a Married Couple Rules & Terms and conditions 1. By participating in the performance, you agree to release and hold harmless TAGDV and its team, affiliates, representatives or volunteers from any and all claims for damages, injuries, causes of actions, or losses of any kind sustained from your participation. 2. TAGDV Judges decision are final. 3. Participant’s registration will close by January 23rd. 4. All dance song tracks must be in MP3 format. 5. Dance Theme: “Thai Pongal Thiruvizha”. The songs should be in Tamil. No other language allowed. 6. Please note time allotted for dance competition is only Duration: Maximum of 5 minutes only 7.All Props need to be reviewed and approved by the Program Coordinator/EC team. Only approved props can be used in the stage for competition. 11.Costume should be stage appropriate. Dance should be stage appropriate otherwise it will be considered disqualified. 12.Songs should be submitted to Program Coordinator by January 26th. Judging Criteria: • Entry and Exits/Opening and Closing • Costumes and Props/Formations • Coordination and Synchronization • Song/Music selection • Choreography – Elegance/technicality/formations/usage of stage • Facial Expressions, Grace and Energy • Duration of the performance within limits/Usage of approved Prop Last Date to Fill Registration form is Jan 23th 2023. Agenda previously shared on the email to the Genneral Body: 1. Current Financial Summary/Report by the Treasurer. 2. Official ratification of the two selected TAGDV Board of Trustees - Mr. Arvind Aravindhan and Mr.Gnanasabai Muthupalaniappan. This is a special agenda item as only the members as of Aug 1st 2021 will be allowed to take part in the ratification process as per the by law. 3. General Updates Here are the notes from the Special GB meeting: - TAGDV Treasurer provided a report of the Financial summary. - We were unable to proceed with the official ratification of the two selected TAGDV Board of Trustees  Mr. Arvind Aravindhan (2-yr term) and Mr.Gnanasabai Muthupalaniappan (2-yr term) due to the lack of the Quorum required as per the by law. - TAGDV President provided updates on the Executive Committee transition related items. The President also mentioned the lack of some financial documents during the transition and also the Official TAGDV emails which were deleted and not handed over by the Office bearers of the previous Executive committee, outlining the difficulties being faced by the current committee. - This was met with opposition by the previous EC members.   TAGDV EC will work on a scheduling another GB meeting in the near future.

Given the extremely short time available, we request your full support, understanding and co-operation in conducting a fair, representative and comprehensive election on December 12, 2021 (Date & Venue will be announced shortly) The following are the dates/deadlines for the election. EVENT DEADLINE Last day to file nominations Dec 5, 2021 Last day for withdrawal of nominations Dec 9, 2021 Announcement of the Final list of Candidates Dec 11, 2021 Day of Election Dec 12, 2021 A RECEIPT TIME OF MIDNIGHT (EST) IS IMPOSED ON ALL DEADLINES. The following are the positions open for election: ADMINISTRATIVE BODY NUMBER OF POSITIONS TERM Board of Trustees 3 4 years Executive Committee 9 2 years Tamil School Board 3 2 years You may nominate yourself or another member. We are appreciative of your volunteer efforts and it is only through your active participation, will we be able to continue building a strong, active and successful association. The following are the qualifications of contestants mandated by the TAGDV bylaws: 1. Board of Trustees: a. MUST be a TAGDV life Member b. MUST have served on the TAGDV Executive Committee c. In the extraordinary circumstance of unavailable members to satisfy the above, any life member during the past 5 years is eligible for nomination (5.1.2 of Bylaw) 2. Executive Committee: a. MUST be a TAGDV member as of August 1, 2021 3. Tamil School Board: a. MUST be a TAGDV member as of Aug 1, 2021 b. SHALL have served TAGDV All communications regarding the elections must be addressed to the election committee at election2021@tagdv.org The Election Committee reserves the right to respond to election-related queries at a time it deems appropriate. CANDIDATE CODE OF CONDUCT Introduction This code of conduct has been produced for all candidates in the TAGDV elections in order to assist the smooth running of all stages of the process. The Code has been created based on TAGDV bylaws and in accordance with State and Federal laws and in consultation with an attorney specialized in non-profit organizations. The Code Candidates must be validly nominated by the deadline indicated in the timetable above. Contact with members eligible to vote in the elections must not be carried out in a manner likely to cause offence or be seen as applying pressure to any member in regard to how they vote at any stage during the process.
