Open Competition for Thirukkural Recital – திருக்குறள் ஒப்புவித்தல்

Open to all kids (Age 18 and below)
all the participants regardless of the age will be graded in the same way as this is an open competition – competition and prizes are common to all ages. No special grading or consideration will be given to the age of the participant.
Only Kural recital without any prompts, no explanation, no prompting by parents or audience – Minimum 30 Kurals Maximum 100 Kurals, kids have to say adhigaram names. All Kurals should be from Arathuppal அறத்துப்பால் only (38 adhigarams).
To make the kids truly analyze what they learnt with Kurals and make the kids more involved in learning the kurals, judges will ask the following to kids.

1. What does Arathuppal signifies?
2. What does the Adigaram(s) signifies? Judges may pick up one or more adhigarams recited and ask this
3. Judges will pick few Kurals from what the kids recited and ask for meaning (Kids can answer in English or Tamil; answering in Tamil will carry more weightage).
