Cancellation of TAGDV Events due to COVID-19 pandemic Health and well-being of our members and community is our top priority. Due to concerns over the COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) outbreak, Tamil Association of Greater Delaware Valley (TAGDV) has decided to cancel the upcoming events planned in March-April 2020. As you are likely aware, a number of cases have been reported in the tri-state area, prompting the cancellation of events. Considering the safety of our Tamil School kids and volunteers, we also decided to close all the TAGDV Tamil schools until the end of March 2020. Respective school committee will send out an announcement to the parents. Following events are cancelled. 1. Ponvizha Thirukkural and Spelling Bee Competitions - March 28th, 2020 (Saturday) at Villanova University, PA 2. Chithirai-Puthandu Kondatam  - April 18, 2020 (Saturday) at P.S DuPont Middle School, Wilmington, DE Tickets purchased for Chithirai-Puthandu Kondatam will be promptly refunded. TAGDV is closely monitoring the  latest developments about COVID-19 and will reschedule the competitions once situation returns to normal.

Our Deepest Condolences TAGDV deeply mourn the passing away of Thiru C. Kothandaraman in his hometown in Tamilnadu, around 10am local time on Sunday (January 26, 2020). Mr. Kothandaraman was one of the founding members of TAGDV. He nurtured the Sangam during its infant stage between 1967 to 1970 until the "formal" formation of TAGDV during Deepavali 1970 event. He also served us as President in early 70s and again as Vice President in 1980. He inspired his whole family to get involved in supporting and serving TAGDV. No wonder his daughter Thirumathi Jhansi Kandasamy was one of the two-time woman Presidents of TAGDV. We will always cherish him as a firm root of our organization. Our heartfelt condolences to the entire Kothandaraman family. May his soul Rest In Peace.
