2020 accomplishments
2020 has been a transformational year for TAGDV overlaid with a challenging year for all of us due to COVID-19. We appreciate our community's resilience and continued support to TAGDV. Like any massive organization with a rich 50 years of history, we have faced challenges and EC has been working hard with a focus on what is best for the TAGDV members, Tamil School students and overall long term success of the organization. We are looking forward to a great year 2021. TAGDV wishes you all and your loved ones a very happy and prosperous New Year! வணக்கம், உலகமே ஒரு அசாதாரண சூழலில் இருந்த போதிலும், பல இன்னல்களுக்கு இடையே பொன்விழா ஆண்டில் தன் சேவையை TAGDV தொடர்ந்து வழங்கி வருகிறது. உங்கள் அனைவரின் பேராதரவோடு சங்க உறுப்பினர்கள் பயன் பெரும் விதமாக TAGDV பல நிகழ்ச்சிகளை அளித்துள்ளது. அவற்றில் சில குறிப்பிடத்தக்க சாதனைகள் இதோ TAGDV பள்ளிகள் இணையவழிக் கல்வியை அறிமுகப்படுத்தி, தடையின்றி பள்ளியை இயங்கச் செய்துள்ளது. மாணவர்கள் இணைய வழியாகப் பாடம் மற்றும் பயிற்சிகள் செய்ய உள்கட்டமைப்பு செய்துள்ளது. Microsoft Teams செயலியை பயன்படுத்தச் செய்து செலவைக் குறைத்துள்ளது. நிதி திரட்டல் PA/DE உள்ளூர் மற்றும் புறநகர் ஆதரவற்ற மக்களுக்கு உணவு வழங்க நிதி திரட்டியுள்ளது. தமிழ்நாட்டில் உள்ள நலிவுற்ற கலைஞர்களுக்கு ஆதரவு அளிக்க நிதி திரட்டியுள்ளது. சங்கமம் மலர் TAGDVயின் 2020-ஆம் ஆண்டு இதழான சங்கமம் மலரை மென்பிரதி வடிவில் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. சங்க நிகழ்வுகளை உறுப்பினர்களுக்கு மின்னஞ்சல் (29 மின்னஞ்சல்கள்) மூலம் தொடர்ந்து தெரிவித்துள்ளது. FB மூலமாகவும் தகவல்களை பரிமாறி வருகிறது. பொங்கல் விழா 2020ம் ஆண்டின் பொங்கல் விழாவை பாரம்பரிய நடை மாறாமல் கிராமியப் பாணியில் தனித்துவமாக அலங்கரித்த தேநீர் கடை, கரும்புச்சார் கடை, பூ கடை, சிற்றுண்டியகம் மற்றும் பல கடைகள் உள்ள அங்காடி தெரு, அனைவரும் பயன் பெரும் வகையில் அமையப் பெற்றது. இளைய தலைமுறைகள் நமது விவசாய கலாசாரத்தை தெரிந்து கொள்ளும் விதமாக முளைப்பாரி அணிவகுக்க ஏற்பாடு செய்தோம். முதன் முறையாக அறிமுகம் செய்த இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் 60கும் மேற்பட்ட பெண்கள், குழந்தைகள் உற்சாகமாகப் பங்கேற்றனர். பார்வையாளர்களின் கவனத்தை ஈர்த்ததோடு பலரது பாராட்டையும் பெற்றது. இணைய வழி நிகழ்ச்சிகள் 15 நிகழ்ச்சிகளை இணைய வழியாக கட்டணமின்றி உறுப்பினர்கள் பயன்பெறும் விதத்தில் நடத்தியுள்ளது. பல்வகை கல்லூரி ஆயத்தப் பட்டறைகள், கல்லூரி சேர்க்கைக்கான ஆலோசனை, பொருளாதார மேம்பாடு பற்றிய ஆலோசனை, COVID விழிப்புணர்வு, குடியேற்றச்சட்டம் சார்ந்த ஆலோசனை மற்றும் இலக்கியம் சார்ந்த சொற்பொழிவு போன்ற நிகழ்ச்சிகளை ஒருங்கிணைத்துள்ளது. TAGDV "தனித்திறன் போட்டி” மற்றும் "தினம் ஒரு திருக்குறள்" போன்ற போட்டியில் சங்க உறுப்பினர்கள் உற்சாகமாக கலந்து கொண்டனர். மற்ற செயல்கள் TAGDV பொன்விழா ஆண்டிற்கான அடையாளச் சின்னம்(LOGO) உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. உள்ளூர் அரசியல் பிரதிநிதி/சட்ட வல்லுனர்களிடம், H4/L2 மாணவர்களுக்கான கல்விக்கட்டண உதவித்தொகை மற்றும் GC சீர்திருத்தம் பற்றிய ஆலோசனை/முன்னெடுப்பு. சங்க உறுப்பினர்களுக்கான அவசர உதவி சேவை அறிமுகம். 2020 மற்றும் 2021 ஆம் ஆண்டுகளில் அனைத்து நிகழ்ச்சிகளும் பொன்விழா நிகழ்ச்சிகளாக நடத்தப்படுகின்றன. 2020-ஆம் ஆண்டு முற்று பெற்று 2021-ஆம் ஆண்டு பிறக்கிறது. இந்த ஆண்டு பிறக்கும் போது புதிய உற்சாகமும், புத்தெழுச்சியும், அமைதியும், நல்லிணக்கமும் தழைத்து, மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் வாழ வேண்டுமென வாழ்த்துகிறோம். வாழிய நற்றமிழ்! வாழிய நற்றமிழர்! வாழிய வாழியவே! நன்றி, செயற்குழு உறுப்பினர்கள், டெலவர் பெருநிலத் தமிழ்ச் சங்கம்

TAGDV would like to thank everyone for their generous donations to support the Tamil folk artists. Here are some pictures taken during the fund distribution to the folk artists Thanks! Department of Tamil Development (Govt. of Tamil Nadu), Ulaga Tamil Sangam (Madurai) and Tamil Nadu Rural Arts Development Center have joined hands to organize a fundraising event to support Tamil folk artists whose livelihood have been greatly affected due to the pandemic. As part of TAGDV Ponvizha Deepavali celebrations, TAGDV along with eight other Tamil Sangams in the US has come forward to support this fundraising event on Nov 7, 2020 (Saturday) at 10 am EST. This is a free virtual event. TAGDV’s Got Talent – Awards
TAGDV would like to thank everyone who drove all the way to receive the trophies. We will fondly remember this trophy distribution ceremony. It will stay in our mind as a masked memory :). Though we all had our masks on, we smiled and those smiles were contagious. Thank you for sharing your smile with us!!! It is priceless to see the happiness in kids' faces while receiving the trophy. We strive to give that sense of accomplishment to each contestant and we are happy that we were able to do it. This had been a wonderful journey with all the contestants! Special thanks to all EC members who helped throughout this journey! We did our best to conduct a fair competition and we will definitely strive better for the next. If you haven't picked up the trophies, please contact program.coordinator@tagdv.org, we will arrange to get it to you at any cost. Every contestant deserves a trophy! Hope to see you all soon!
