|TAGDV is happy to announce that our 2013 Pongal celebration will be held on January 26, 2013 (Saturday) from 2.30 – 10 pm at the Conrad Schools of Science in Wilmington, Delaware. We are celebrating Pongal with a Mega fusion dance program with the “Harvest” theme. We are bringing together a super colorful performance from the Pennsylvania Chinese Dance Club, the Penn Latin and Ball Room Dance and the Beats of West Africa by the Croatans.TAGDV will also be hosting “TAGDV-Super Dancers”, ” Kolam/Rangoli” and “Pongal Cook Off” challenges for participating members and winners will be awarded cash prizes. The Pongal event will also consist of local talent shows by our members and tamil school children and delicious South Indian dinner.

With the vibrant show and other extraordinary performances, we will also have several fun activities and vendors selling snacks, clothes, designer jewellery, etc. So bring your friends and families and help us celebrate this festive occasion.
You can participate as a group or Individual, all are judged in same category. So it is advisable to get some helping hands. Maximum of 3 persons allowed per group.
Theme: Pongal/Harvest Festival Age: All ages and all genders
When: Two hours before the TAGDV Pongal event start time, we will have the event hall open for you to do the Kolam/Rangoli.
Colors: 5-color powder will be provided, if you need more you can bring your own.
Show case your culinary skills! Individual participation only
What to cook: Any type of Pongal Age: All ages
When: Bring your cooked Pongal to the venue one hour before the TAGDV event start time.
Take up the dance challenge and win Grand Prize for exceptional overall performance. This challenge is for all age groups.
There are prizes in different categories like Best Choreography, Best Costume and Best Coordination. So almost everybody will go out as winners.
A panel of judges that will include dance teachers will select finalist. Finalist from each category will perform one dance each on stage in front of the audience. There will be a mandatory preliminary contest to determine the finalist.
This is a Group challenge. Minimum 3 members per group.

Annual membership $25/family for the calendar year. Life membership $250/family.
